SUPER CUECAS

I did this commission a few years ago portraying DC Heroes with their indelible and endearing relationship with their underpants. Quickly searching the internet we can see that “the circus wrestlers and performers used to wear underwear outside their pants while performing stunts as it made their pelvis region look broader and muscular” and I think we can all agree on that. Long live heroic underpants over pants.

FANART

Fan art or fanart is artwork created by fans of a work of fiction and derived from a series character or other aspect of that work. As fan labor, fan art refers to artworks that are neither created nor commissioned or endorsed by the creators of the work from which the fan art derives. Every character deserves it.

Boba Fett

With his custom Mandalorian armor, deadly weaponry and quiet demeanor, Boba Fett was one of the most feared bounty hunters in the galaxy, a bit clumsy and careless, of course, but still feared. A genetic clone of his “father”, bounty hunter Jango Fett, Boba learned martial and combat skills from a young age, which wasn’t enough for him to actually pay attention to his surroundings and focus on the battle. Throughout his career, which included contracts for the Empire and the criminal underworld, he became a legend, especially when he fell into Sarlacc’s pit for sheer distraction. Back and overweight, Boba now faces a battle with diabetes and high cholesterol.

SMILE, MR. VOORHEES!

Our boy Jason was never supposed to be the star. “It’s evident just a few minutes in to movies like Jason Lives and Jason X that Mr. Voorhees is the star of the show. Horror audiences aren’t so much rooting for the generally unlikable victims to survive as they are looking for increasingly thrilling and inventive kills. It’s a very specific type of cinematic escapism, to be sure. But originally, Friday the 13th was intended to be an anthology series. Each movie would have taken place, presumably, on Friday the 13th”.

10 Jason Voorhees Facts You Never Knew Until NowRYAN J. DOWNEY, MOVIEWEB.com

“But not only did Jason become the series star after his terrifying reemergence at the end of the first film, but the date in the title became something of a moot point. The first two movies take place on Friday the 13th, but Part III takes place the following day, Saturday the 14th (not to be confused with the 1981 horror comedy.) Part IV takes place on Sunday and Monday. After that, it seems like the series’ producers mostly abandoned the device. We did ultimately get a Friday the 13th anthology series on television. Unlike the anthology series Freddy’s Nightmares, which featured Freddy as host and occasional star, 1987’s Friday the 13th: The Series was Jason free. I mean the dude doesn’t talk”.

Wish I knew who was behind the mask for this pic. Horror fans will totally get this. Monsters have hearts too.DREW EDWARDS, @HalloweenMancom

Surrounded by Positive Influence

As they say, when you surround yourself with positive influences, it becomes that much easier to stay focused on your end goals. You’ll feel better about yourself. You’ll feel energized and motivated when you spend time with these people. You won’t be as stressed out. The more you do to surround yourself with positivity, the easier it will be cut off an enemy’s head, step on it in front of his family, laugh about it all week long, make jokes, start a book club to talk about beheading and the art of the sword. You’ll finally let go of the past and move forward to a brighter future.

O HOMEM-TELEFONIA 1948

THE REVENGE OF JAR JAR

George Lucas has no plans on returning to direct Star Wars. Asked which character he would like to be, Lucas chose Jar Jar Binks, in a clear dig at his critics. The gungan has come to typify the film-maker’s prequel movies about the rise and subsequent fall of Anakin, which while successful at the box office are regarded as terrible by many fans. That’s a shame because it ended up removing Jar Jar from the big screen and placed him behind the cameras, where he directed episodes VII and XI, throwing the franchise in the trash bin of movie history and put at risk the entire future of Star Wars.

I know what you’re thinking, so many missed opportunities, right? Think of the possibilities with such a rich and charismatic character, think of everything uncle George could’ve done with him and his midichlorians. But not all is lost, reliable sources guarantee that Jar Jar will return on fire in the next season of The Mandalorian, bringing back all that so well missed excitement and charisma to the world of streaming. Watch out Baby Yoda! #MayThe4rth

SIX FANARTS

Directly from the legends of the COVID-19 Pandemic Quarantine, where we have all been locked at home for twenty days or so, a challenge suddenly appears.“Over the weekend, the #SixFanarts Challenge grew in popularity on Twitter and Instagram, with countless talented artists joining in on the fun. As the name would suggest, the challenge, which was originally started by Melissa Capriglione, involves asking your followers for suggestions on characters to draw, and then proceeding to draw them in a series of six blank boxes”. So, here’s my take on this game. Thanks everyone for these fantastic suggestions. I was a little bit surprised with some of your choices, but a challenge is a challenge! What’s next?
